In London 1979 was formed a intrernational girl-group Mo-dettes. International becuase one of them was an American (Kate Korus - guitar), one a Swiss (Ramona Carlier - vocals, ex- Kleenex) and two British (June Miles-Kingston - drums and Jane Crockford - bass). Musically they were not as poppy as the Go-Go's or as radical as the Slits, but did write some really good rough pop songs. They disbanded in 1982. Later June Miles Kingston later worked with Fun Boy Three, Everything but the Girl and the Communards.
